Performers notes
Kamini Ramachandran
Kamini is a professional storyteller as well as a mother of two young boys. She started MoonShadow Stories two years ago and has been actively promoting the oral narrative tradition for both adults as well as children.

Akshita Nanda
Akshita tells stories that she inherited but writes tales about the future. Her life’s work is to utilize the power of language and transcend its limitations. Her fondest wish is to be adjectivised. She also really wants world peace, or at least for people to listen to each other in a non-judgmental manner. That is why she tells stories.

Ng Yi-Sheng
A past winner of a poetry slam, Yi-Sheng is a freelance writer and a contract drudge at the NAC visual arts department. If all goes as per schedule, this month he'll publish "Last Boy", his first collection of poems, under Firstfruits, and on August 17th will be releasing a non-fiction book about the lives of gay, lesbian and bisexual people in Singapore.

Sushela Sockalingam
A freelance teacher. She has read at Zouk for events organized by the Word Forward Outfit.

Victor Tang
This unsuspecting musician belts out an amazing range of originals. Songs of Singapore youth both melancholy and inspirational. Victor Tang consistently receives a standing ovation for his acoustic solo set of hits. Don't miss.

Feroz of Ecrus Garage
Roz from Ecrus Garage will present an amalgamation of words transcendent through music in his signature foreboding baritone. An expression of redemption in the form of spritual solace, the love of god, the love of another.

Special guest appearance from LA based singer/songwriter and avid poet Andrea Hamilton.
Andrea Hamilton doesn’t just make music; she shares her heart. With a voice so smooth it feels like cool water to a parched soul, she sings her simple but insightful lyrics, tying listeners intimately to each verse. The talents she shares with all who tune in are simply honest, which in today’s world should count as harder currency than bullion. And it certainly doesn’t hurt that her perfectionist nature pushes her to create some of the cleanest and most ear-titillating pop sounds around.
